African American/Canadian names (Bastardized Swahili, Commercialism)?

Not just Black people are guilty of this......and I think you will find, the younger the parent, the more far-out the name will be. And what is considered odd today, will be tomorrow's Sarah or Christopher. That being said, naming your child after an alcoholic beverage speaks to larger issues.
